Formosa Assam MX 2 oz

Brought into Taiwan from India in the early 1900s by occupying Japanese, this black tea is much more pleasant that its Assam grown parents. The terrior in central Taiwan produces a rich, complex tea without the characteristic astringency found in Assam grown tea. A result of organic practice, tiny aphids nibble the leaves prior to harvest resulting in a sweet honey-like aroma and flavor. Milk and sugar are definitely not needed. Slight floral notes on the mid palate.
