Latest in a long line of amazing black teas developed by Taiwanese tea scientists who hybridized an Assam varietal brought in during the Japanese occupation with a Formosa native cultivar. Flavor is robust with very full mouth feel finishing on the sweet side reminiscent of citrus and tropical fruit. Honey-like aroma and mid palate created when tiny aphids bit the leaves prior to harvesting stimulating an enzymatic reaction adding to the flavor profile.
